Making a comic book takes time.

According to the analytics, there's about 10 visitors to this website per month. There are peaks where I post a page on Reddit or something and a few hundred people check it out, but for the most part I only have a few regular readers. Honestly, most, if not all of them, are probably just myself - clicking on it in the middle of a weeknight in a self congratulatory ego fueled session of narcissism. But I would like to think that I have a few actual fans. And I hate to think that I'm making you wait, with fevered breath I'm sure, for the next update. So, allow me to tell you about something that should really make you happy...

Animation

I'm going on hiatus!

I've been asked to illustrate a book. I can't really go into details about it, but it's taking up all my spare time that would usually be dedicated to maintaining this website and creating more pages of FLOLAS. The project itself is pretty awesome. It's written by a somewhat well known You-tuber and it has a lot of potential. I'm rather excited about it all.

Everything I've learned over the past few years of making FLOLAS is going into it as well. Everything from page layout to color choices to character design. This new project is a direct result from my experience making this comic book. It should be a natural evolution as well as a more consistent and professional piece in it's own right.

Anyways, I figured I would update since I haven't done so in a while. I was right in the middle of inking page 29 when this project fell in my lap. I'll most likely be busy with it for the rest of 2016 and possibly for a while into the foreseeable future. I don't really mean to be overly secretive about it, it's not like I've signed an NDA or anything, it's just that I think it will be best if you see the final product for yourself without me spoiling much.

I'm still going to try to pump out Page 29 and 30 of FLOLAS before the end of the year. Page 30 marks a good stopping point in the story, even though it's only about the halfway point of the first episode. I totally realize that I have bitten off entirely more than I could ever hope to chew.

Hopefully this book will be a success and lead to greater things.

Maybe it will buy me some more time.
