Twenty Fifteen has been a weird year.

In a time when we're able to launch rockets into space and then land safely back on Earth without wasting anything, contain a fusion reaction in a contraption designed by a supercomputer, and discover a new form of matter; the stories of our time are almost completely dominated by the ghosts of our past and the dead gods that haunt them.

In the center of this schism between the old and new, the spiritual and material, the divine and ordinary; this is where I create FLOLAS. I feel like we've lost something as a society, whether it be a link to some sacred past or a language that connects us to nature. We're certainly lacking a proper mythology in light of and despite all this new technological freedom.

This year I have stood in awe of our progress.

This year I have been horrified at our brutality.

Today is the Winter Solstice, for all intents and purposes the end of the year. Going forward, head first into the future, may we find peace between our brightest lights and deepest shadows.

As for FLOLAS itself, you may have noticed that I've been experimenting with new ways to do the text bubbles. I will most likely go back early next year and revise all the pages to this new format - once it's decided what that will be. I also have some edits that I would like to do before going any further.

If you're wondering, Page 27 is roughly the first third of Song One. I have a long way to go.

I also have some animations planned. I hope to get good enough to move out of the South East and finally pursue a career as an animator.

Until then, Namaste my friends.
